Here it is, the first entry of my new monthly science fiction series, INFINITY'S STAIRCASE. I definitely played with perception and reality in the narrative, and this first part hints at what to expect in future entries. Like all my other Patreon content now, it's free to read, so please share and enjoy!
Today's writing soundtrack: OUT THERE Omega Edition by Siddhartha Barnhoorn. This is some of the best scifi music I've ever heard. Lush, evocative, and soothing. You really feel like you're in space; perfect for writing. Fav tracks: Out There I, Blue Dwarf II, Yellow Dwarf I.
Rega's attempt to escape the prison planet of Tzentra continues! As she falls under the mercy of Bhoda and his pirates, she receives the aid of an unlikely ally...
Here’s a teaser for next year’s free serial, due in late January/early February on my Patreon page. As you can guess from the image, it’ll be cyberpunk. I’m going all out on this one. Expect craziness.
Blightware. Some say it’s poison. Others say it’s paradise. Either way, it destroys everything it touches: metros, cloud communities, AR mobs, park collectives. Human or animal, AI or bot. No one knows how it started—but everyone thinks they have a plan to stop it.
Today's writing soundtrack is MATTERFALL ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK by Ari Pulkkinen. It's a pulse-pounding, retro throwback to 80s gaming music, updated for the 21st century. Good for writing cyberpunk and scifi. Fav tracks: 'Main Theme' and 'Research Labs'.
Here's the first installment of my patrons-only serial, HATORI'S SONG. It follows the exploits of Mission Specialist Tamerine Saetang, who wakes up from cryostasis two years early--and many of her comrades are dead or missing. The story takes place on the colony ship UEA Hatori's Song, en route to Fomalhaut, a star system 25 light years from Earth. Tamerine must discover what has happened to not only save herself, but the 2,000 other colonists still in hibernation aboard the titanic vessel. This serial will run biweekly, posted on the second and fourth weeks of the month. Become a patron today and enjoy!
Today's writing soundtrack is 'Q.U.B.E. 2 Original Soundtrack' by David Housden. Beautiful, empathic pieces that emphasize the emotional weight of the scenes I'm working on right now. My fav tracks are 'Milly's Theme', 'Fragile Dreams', and 'Memory of Man'.
I'm announcing a new, monthly science fiction series forthcoming to my Patreon page: INFINITY'S STAIRCASE. A star voyager has become trapped in a spacetime anomaly where the boundaries of reality and fantasy blur into mirage-like expanses, identity is a memory, and the only remaining drive is to find the Circuit—the single escape from the Staircase. Watch this space!
