Today's writing soundtrack is 'Q.U.B.E. 2 Original Soundtrack' by David Housden. Beautiful, empathic pieces that emphasize the emotional weight of the scenes I'm working on right now. My fav tracks are 'Milly's Theme', 'Fragile Dreams', and 'Memory of Man'.
I'm announcing a new, monthly science fiction series forthcoming to my Patreon page: INFINITY'S STAIRCASE. A star voyager has become trapped in a spacetime anomaly where the boundaries of reality and fantasy blur into mirage-like expanses, identity is a memory, and the only remaining drive is to find the Circuit—the single escape from the Staircase. Watch this space!
Read for FREE the latest installment of my science fiction serial, exclusive to Patreon. Rega has escaped the prison planet of Tzentra, but now she faces the real struggle: Uta's guardian, and the fleets in orbit that wish to stop her.
Wow, is it October already? Wait, it’s almost TWO WEEKS into October? I’ve really got to step away from the keyboard more often…
Well, I finished the second draft of EDEN’S CROWN, and I’ve turned it and the copy edits for EDEN’S TEARS over to the publisher. Now it’s time for a (very) short break, then I’ll be preparing next year’s projects and discussing them with my agent. Right now, I’ve narrowed it down to two projects that I’ve already started but would like to turn into a series: the posthuman reality of AFTERWORLD, and the space opera REDSHIFT RUNNERS. It’s really a question of which one I focus on first, since I eventually want to complete both.
Which leads me to Patreon content: the free serial DONJON: ABYSS will likely complete its run by the end of the year, and the HATORI’S SONG serial is coming soon. I’m giving serious consideration in making it a weekly serial, allowing for a greater flow of content for my patrons. I’m still tweaking the tiers, and I’ll keep everyone posted with the changes. The next free serial might be Rega’s next adventure (DONJON: PAIN GARDEN), or it might be something different. Either way, expect it to drop sometime in January 2021.
Stay spaced out, and wear a mask!
