The final book in my EDEN trilogy, EDEN'S CROWN, is now out for Kindle and paperback. This is a very satisfying moment, to see the publication of my first trilogy, my first series. And judging from reviews of the previous two books, people have found something exciting and unique in my work this time around. But along with that satisfaction comes the hunger to write in that world again. I've never enjoyed writing anything as much as this series. Thanks to everyone who has shared that journey with me--there's more to come.
My latest essay, available on Medium: Conspiracy Theories Kill.
The BLIGHTWARE 1st draft manuscript is finished! This makes my 20th novel overall. I'll be working on smaller projects the rest of the month, catching up on reading (and Netflix), and prepping for the revisions of this novel, and REDSHFT RUNNERS, the space opera novel I wrote earlier this year. My work is never truly done, but I like it that way.
I'm pleased to announce the release of EDEN'S TEARS, the second installment in my post-apocalyptic EDEN trilogy. The adventures of Reyes and Thanata continue across a world where terraforming went horribly wrong. Available on Kindle and in paperback (and soon on Audible!).
Victory is fleeting...
Though the Green has been temporarily pushed back, Reyes and Thanata face a new challenge in a deadly strain of coral biota that has spread over the region. It taints the planet’s rainfall, rivers, lakes—and all the wildlife that depends on them.
But there is a swarm-like signal inherent in the coral, which originates deep within Phoa’s biomorphic sea. Reyes and Thanata must rush to its source and stop the coral growth before it suffocates everything they have struggled to preserve—including the bond between them.

Today's writing soundtrack: WESTWORLD SEASON 3 by Ramin Djawadi. Such a perfect blend of futuristic pieces and instrumental covers of classic songs. Fav tracks: 'Caleb', 'Decoherence', & 'Welcome to the End'. Great background for the scifi novel I'm currently writing.
I'm happy to announce the release of EDEN DESCENDING, my science fiction, post-apocalyptic novel and the first installment of the EDEN trilogy. I pitched this as 'Annihilation meets Mad Max', so please check it out for yourself!

The cover blurb:
They hoped to create a paradise. Instead, they created hell.
Phoa was terraformed by nanite swarms for Earth’s colonists to create a beautiful, habitable world. But the swarms evolved, overran the planet, and two centuries later, threaten every living thing remaining on it.
Reyes, a scientist from Phoa’s last colonial enclave, and Thanata, a bioengineered hunter from a rival tribe, must work together to halt the Green: the massive swarm that absorbs plants, animals—even entire cities. But if the unlikely pair hopes to survive the mutated wilds and the deadly Green, they'll have to learn to understand each other.

My first project for 2021 will be REDSHIFT RUNNERS, a novel I wrote in 2019 but wasn't happy with. The ideas I explored in it have never left my mind, however, and over the past year and a half I've expanded on them. Now I know what I want to do with this story. I'll be rewriting it from the ground up; no cut and pasted passages from previous drafts here. I have a trilogy *roughly* mapped out and characters I'm excited to bring to life. It'll be a space opera, but with more Expanse in its DNA than Star Wars or Dune. Now I just need to stock up on coffee.
