It's set in my Runners universe, through the viewpoint of a MEC soldier thrust into a unit of misfits who are injected with a performance-enhancing serum with adverse side affects--the deadening of one's emotions.
If I had to pick influences, they'd be The Forever War, Platoon, Borderlands, and Cordwainer's Smith's stories. I can't wait to get started.
